In the 1990s, Guilherme da Nobrega was a co-founder of Tendencias, one of the country’s leading independent macro consulting firm. Later, as a financial market economist, he advised institutional investors, treasuries, corporate clients and investment funds, both at home and abroad. He spent eight years at Banco Itau, the Brazilian banking conglomerate before returning to a career in consulting.
Guilherme and I met recently at Amcham Campinas in our Business Affairs Committee where he shared his insights on the tendencies in the Brazilian economy with group members.

His past experience includes serving as President of MABE Mercosul, a division of MABE (México), the largest home appliances company in Latin America, and partner with GE Appliances of the USA. He was responsible for Brazil and Argentina markets, 8 factories and 5,000 employees, with revenues of $1.1 US Billion in 2010 and based in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The law office, Tavolaro e Tavolaro Advogados, has its origin tied to the beginning of activities of its eldest partner, Dr. Agostinho Toffoli Tavolaro who, in 1959, began his professional activities as a Lawyer, providing services in this city to the office, Borges & Aranha, São Paulo. She has worked with various organizations on the topics of Fair Trade and international sustainable economic development such as Global Exchange and Fair Trade USA and is now working for Global Reporting Initiative (GRI)'s Focal Point Brazil, spreading the importance of sustainability reporting for companies in the country.
