Guilherme da Nobrega, Partner at Guaeca Consulting in Brazil has been analyzing and explaining Brazil to investors for twenty years in a career that took him to meetings and speaking engagements in 35 countries around the world.
In the 1990s, Guilherme da Nobrega was a co-founder of Tendencias, one of the country’s leading independent macro consulting firm. Later, as a financial market economist, he advised institutional investors, treasuries, corporate clients and investment funds, both at home and abroad. He spent eight years at Banco Itau, the Brazilian banking conglomerate before returning to a career in consulting.
Guilherme and I met recently at Amcham Campinas in our Business Affairs Committee where he shared his insights on the tendencies in the Brazilian economy with group members.
Patricio is Mexican, a Mechanical Electrical Engineer from ITESM, Monterrey, Mexico with a Master Degree in International Business from OneMBA . He is also Founder- Consulting House Mexico and member of the Business Affairs Committee Amcham Campinas.
His past experience includes serving as President of MABE Mercosul, a division of MABE (México), the largest home appliances company in Latin America, and partner with GE Appliances of the USA. He was responsible for Brazil and Argentina markets, 8 factories and 5,000 employees, with revenues of $1.1 US Billion in 2010 and based in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The law office, Tavolaro e Tavolaro Advogados, has its origin tied to the beginning of activities of its eldest partner, Dr. Agostinho Toffoli Tavolaro who, in 1959, began his professional activities as a Lawyer, providing services in this city to the office, Borges & Aranha, São Paulo. Later, he was admited as a partner to that law office, which became Aranha, Durazzo & Tavolaro in 1965. Marienne M. S. Coutinho is a tax partner KPMG in Brazil and leads the International Corporate Tax & Transfer Pricing practice. She is a lawyer and has an IFRS specialization (FIPECAFI). She has been with KPMG for 17 years and has also worked with KPMG in New York in the Trade & Customs group. She is a frequent speaker in Brazil and abroad on Brazilian and International Tax matters.
